Conduct of Operations Safety Onboarding

Cordia Energy had a clear goal: make Conduct of Operations training easier to understand, easier to remember, and more consistent across every shift and site.

We took Cordia’s dense 33-page Conduct of Operations manual and turned it into a single, engaging custom illustrated training video that operators actually watch and retain. This video is now the first thing new employees watch during onboarding, setting the tone for how Cordia operates safely, reliably, and with purpose.

The video walks teams through the expectations that matter most, including:

• Site Management responsibilities and KPIs
• On-Duty Operator accountability and control room focus
• Staying aligned with plant operations and getting approvals when needed
• Human performance tools that reduce error (Two-Minute Drill, Stop Work Authority, three-way communication)
• Procedure and checklist use as the playbook for reliable operations
• Communication standards, including avoiding confusing acronyms
• Shift turnover and briefings as a critical exchange of information
